The interview meme that's circulating has reminded me that I had a bunch of interview questions from nightangelca and my answers to them stuck on my hard drive. She gave them in last July, I think... Um. Well, I took a while to come up with answers to certain questions and then I got very busy and then I moved to France and... Yeah, better late than never. And

Mucha! I LOVE Mucha. In my house, which is otherwise a pretty good example of a Middle-class, middle-aged (eech) American dwelling, with Mom's and Grandmother's antiques and matching curtains and bedspreads, etc, there are two nicely framed Mucha Champagne Girls. Quite surprising and out of place. I simply love their flowing draperies and beautiful faces. I only wish I could find a frame-worthy rendition of his "Four Seasons" ladies. That one is a postcard that lives on the fridge. Someday, someday.

P.S. Your description made me remember my first dorm room, in detail. Not that I had that much cool stuff. We weren't allowed any cooking equipment, etc. But it was a great room, with the far wall a side-to-side, waist-high to ceiling window. It faced west, and on sunny winter days if I was lucky enough not to have afternoon classes, I would strip to my underwear, open the curtains all the way, and take a sunbath. Sublime. I have never found that particular west-window setup again, more's the pity.
