I just got back from my holiday in Montreal. I journaled while I was there, but I had to wait until I was able to get my photos on the interenet before I was able to post my entries for my flist.

Montreal -- Day 5
Got up early to get to the Montreal Botanical Gardens before the sun got up too high, but it was a bright clear day, so my efforts were in vain. Tuesday:
Got up nice and early today.
First stop was St Patrick's. At first I thought it was closed up, and I contented my self with several outside shots, but when I was getting ready to leave, a couple with a camera came out! Sweet! Montreal 2009 -- Day 3
Monday:
I was right about the turkey burgers. I ended up staying up late feeling rather sick, and stayed in bed until 1pm today. I finally felt able to go about town on my own, so I got ready and headed out. Doors Open Toronto, May 23rd
I went to Toronto to attend the Doors Open 2009 on Saturday. I met with my friend ubernerd09 , and we went on a planned tour of some buildings that we wanted to see. Unfortunately, there were a couple that only opened earlier on in the morning, and we missed them, and the Albany Club had a lineup that literally went down the street and around the corner, ( Read more... ) -

I just closed out my Facebook account (really closed it, not just de-activated it)!
I got a lot of pressure from friends and family to open one, but I never really found it useful, and I absolutely hated the way FB continually changed their terms of service, and recorded cookies from other websites that I visited.

My mother found a dog out on the road -- he was nearly hit by a car, and was out without a collar or tags. Since it was Easter Sunday and she was preparing a big dinner, she just bundled him into the car and brought him home. It was a little Jack Russell, and it was clear he was well taken care of.
