Well, someone else pointed that out on Scans Daily. I would have, being on Hal's side and all. My arguement was that he was allowed to go crazy (Ala the big yellow bug thing) and...I somehow ended up somewhere different from where I started

Ah, I didn't read the thread. Just had to point that out.

The thing about Hal going crazy, meta-textually, is that the original story where he became Parallax was so bad and out-of-character, that it's one of those cases where a retcon is actually need, you know?

I'm speaking as a Hal fan of almost two decades, so I'm biased though.

This is actually why I stopped going to comic book message boards entirely. The geekery gets a bit thick, and sometimes I can't express myself properly. Plus, people get really worked up over little things. It's so silly sometimes.

Truer words were never spoken... I try not to get too caught up, though some people might call it being too stubborn to actually acknowledge anyone else, and jsut try to cope with my own geekery, as it were.

I like Hal, even if a lot of other people seem to dislike him for all the wrong reasons (He was evil, let them brainrape Batman, he punched Batman, blah blah blah) but he's always been...I don't know, the height in honor and asskickery. (No, asskickery is not a real word...) and if ever there was a need for retcon...yeah. It didn't make a whole bunch of sense, though I've somehow rationalized it in my brain.
