She hates the men for Emily, for long-lost Samantha Mulder, for her sister, and-most of all-for igniting this cold, consuming fire inside her. She feels a pang for the self-assured girl who went to Oregon, for her bad suits and worse hair. For all of the things she did not have to believe.

Damn, woman, you never pull your punches, do you? (But I love that about you.)

Heartbreaking, dark, harrowing; all the things that anything thoroughly examining the Emily arc should be. Thanks for sharing this.

Your appreciation of a Scully-centric story always gives me a thrill, I confess. I'm so pleased that you liked it and felt I did the storyline justice.

Good lord, woman. That was incredible! How haunting and sad. I rewatched this episode recently, and was left feeling cheated (a typical feeling for the Emily arc). This was great closure, and I think it's incredibly true.

Thank you very much. That image where Scully's watching Emily in the MRI and she flinches just breaks my heart. That poor woman. I 'm so glad you felt that this created closure because it's exactly what I wanted to give her.

Aw, thank you so much. What can I say, I missed writing and wanted to wade back in with something light and cheerful.

This is powerful and oh so sad. Breaks my heart to read this, knowing that Scully felt she had no choice. This was a sacrifice she had to make.

More than anything, I am just so happy to see you writing again. This is like a surprise gift. And it was well worth the waiting and wondering if you'd ever write again. Great work.

This is so intense, so moving. I feel like you are in Scully's mind (or CC's for that matter)because your writing fits Scully's way of thinking : beautiful, precise, touching and real. Definitely real and in character. Please, never stop writing. :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad this story resonated with you so much, because sometimes it can be hard to get the characterization right when there's no dialogue.
