Resolutions

Inspired by adickers's monthly resolution plan, I've started to do the same. Except I haven't tried planning out the whole year in advance, I'm just taking it a month at a time. The idea is that I want to develop some better "life habits" by forcing myself to stick with something for a month and developing it into a permanent habit ( Read more... )

Good for you!
Looking for something for March. Hm. How about doing something like reducing your environmental footprint? Or (in honor of lent, if not in the spirit of it, exactly) cutting an unhealthy food out of your diet (adickers did french fries)? Or something as simple as learning something new every day?

Mine for the year are split into three categories: mental, physical, social.

Mental: Learn Mandarin Chinese to a conversational level
Physical: See my abs
Social: Get a promotion and a raise

Granted, those are all "by December 31st" goals, but I see no reason why you might not pick 1, 2, or 3 aspects of your life and plot a short-term goal for each.

You seem to have already tackled physical with your renewed sleep schedule and exercise routine. I might then suggest that you pick something from one of the other areas.

How about a resolution to post a photo a day to your blog? Or conversely, to write a blog entry a day? :)
