This week, residual jetlag from the Europe trip is causing me to get crazy tired around 10pm and to wake up fully rested at 6am. I like this a lot better than the usual night owl routine (and the consequent grumpily dragging myself out of bed every morning an hour later than I should). I wonder how long I can keep this up?

We had a long layover in Amsterdam on the way to Munich and took the train into the city to check things out. It was early morning on Christmas Day and we practically had the place to ourselves. We also discovered that Amsterdam has yummy pancakes.

Due to inexplicable lameness on Audible's and/or Microsoft's part, the Zune is not among the supported devices for Audible audiobooks. Fortunately, the Zune can actually function as a decent audiobook device with its new podcast support (the most important feature here being the ability to automatically bookmark the location where you last left off ( Read more... )
