I'm fond of my ipods, and I have an fm transmitter for one of them. It's nice for in the car.

i was looking at the ipod nano - 4G i think is the largest they get, but would work for what i want it for. do those work with FM transmitters? i tried looking this stuff up online, but that Apple webpage has far too much information and not very searchable.

i was also looking at the Creative Zen Neeon and Neeon 2, but Neeon 2's, i guess, have not come out in the US yet and the Neeon doesn't seem to be compatible w/the car as far as FM tranmitter is concerned.

my brother had a 10G third generation ipod he gave me, but we don't have the install CD and itunes won't sync up with it and the battery life seems quirky, plus i'm not sure if that would work in the car either.

I have an FM modulator for the car that works with any flash drive and most mp3 players... I think it was pretty cheap, and you can just put your music on whatever flash drives you have lying around (and they're pretty cheap these days -- I've been seeing 1 GB ones on sale for $20 lately!). You lose some sound quality, though.
