let me just say you handled that really well, and by that i mean the shaky line between genius and mania.... that little voice that says 'you're better like this' and how sometimes it's right.... but that doesn't mean that you're not good enough without it or that you can't be just as good while not hurting yourself.... so thanks for that

Jim is always blurring the line between genius and mania, and for a long time (at least in this universe) he struggles with realizing that he is good enough without the mania. That scene was one of the first I wrote for this story and I'm glad you really liked it :)
