I love the slow build in this story. I also hate it with a firey passion because I want mooorrreee! Oh and I LOVED the irony in the whole blaming the son for the father's stuff since (I'm assuming) they don't know HOW CLOSE that is to the truth. XD I can totally see Jet later on going... 'she didn't know.... did she?!' Also Longshot as a receptionist haha. Priceless.

Customer: Hi. I'm here to sign my son up for classes.
Longshot: ........ sign this form please ..........
Customer: okaaaay?
Longshot: ..... thank you for your patronage .......

*dies laughing at the mental image*

and LOL I'm so glad you're liking the pace so far! I myself am getting a bit frustrated with the relative slowness of the storyline, but Jet has to be stubborn and non-introspective about his principles, and there's not much I can do in the face of stubborn-Jet. :/

And I just couldn't resist adding in that little bit of irony :) I'm so glad you caught that; it was one of the first lines I came up with when I got the idea for the story!

**Kid: excuse me, do you know where Sifu Smellerbee is?
Longshot: *raises eyebrow*
Kid: Umm...
Longshot: *raises other eyebrow*
Kid: Oh. Um, thank you? *saunters off, confused*
