So, I think Chaucer officially short-circuited my brain. I'm sick of him and his stupid Wife of Bath and his stupid Middle English and his stupid awesome Chaucer-ness. [Also, Big Bang woe D:] Obviously, this means only one thing: I write ATLA fic! And, yeah, I know that makes absolutely no damn sense whatsoever, but whatever. Koifish-fic!

I really enjoyed this. I've always wondered what it would be like for the spirits- and when Yue replaces Tui. Though, I do have one little quip with this- I'd always thought La was male and I'm pretty sure he is...

But, it works with La as female too. The love portrayed by Female La is a more protective love rather than romantic. I really enjoyed that aspect.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! And with the spirits, I personally, always saw them as sort of sexless beings, which makes it a little harder to refer to them while still making them seem sort of human. I chose to feminize La mostly because of that throwaway comment Yue has in the book one finale "Our strength comes from the spirit of the moon, our life from the spirit of the ocean..." and I thought that Giver of Life had more of a female connotation to it.

That being said, I could be mistaken, in which case I'm glad you thought it worked with La being female too!
