For reasons I'm not totally clear on, my work days have crept up to City length. Yes, I have projects, and yes, some stuff needs to be done at night, but I really can't do back to back to back 16 hour days any more ( Read more... )

Oh dear, re the programming chair job. I hope it goes as well as can be expected.

Both Major Conference (November) and Gigunda Conference (spring 2021) are going to be virtual for me. I will drop into some of Major Conference since there are a few sessions directly pertinent to the new job and they've slashed the reg fee. I'll see what the schedule looks like for Gigunda Conference.
