aren't the baseline cameras of any brand (even Canon in their awsomeness) USB-connecting?? They should work w/ mac. (MAC USERS OF THE WORLD UNITE!). I've used our Canon Power Shot A80 (couple years old now, but still good) and it works great w/ my mac using either the USB cable that came w/ the camera or any sort of USB card-reader adaptor. I don't see why any digital camera shouldn't be mac-compatible - especially if its USB and Canon.
