you know that statue
that statue of baby jesus
in thewindow
in the window of the 99 cent store
last night I saw the owner kiss it
and whisper in its ear
I waswalking home from walgreen's
and he did not hear me seehim
and on thevery very next morning
all the subway cars were hallelu-leluing
welcome back the baby king
When we got back from Illinois, my cat had become massively fat. Ok, so I have a tendency to remember things smaller than they are, I got used to my grandmother's tiny kitten and she did get her winter coat in, but it is also true that the treat container was nearly empty when we got back and it looked like the neighbor kids had been giving her a lot of food. I have to admit my first reaction to her new plushness was near hysterical laughter, but she really does wear her extra pounds well. I love her. Hurray!
Also, my grandmother's tiny kitten was the greatest thing in the world.
The trip to the Midwest ended up relatively smooth... probably because we stayed in a hotel and could leave before it got to hellish in the house. Grandpa's funeral was all in Latvian, I didn't cry till the last song. Afterwards I learned Oaky had skied in the 1936 Olympics. Go Grandpa, that's super cool.
School has been not so cool... I've almost not gone a few times. Anxiety troubles, more than I've had before. I have my troubles, but not usually anxiety troubles. Weird.
Hey, you guys, brace yourselves for this one... I'm going to Italy! Yes!
I'm on the chorus trip! Yes!
