In my experience, long overdue posts are always massive and rambling and rarely get to the point.
Welcome to the future. A phrase I feel has been irreversibly tattooed across my forehead. About damn time.
For starters, because this is the real world, plenty of things necessarily and completely suck in my life.
And, in other news:

Wow. You've got lots going. Congratulations on the upcoming raise. No doubt you've earned it. And I know you are looking forward to the vacation. Sounds restful and wonderful. And I'm thrilled you are in a happy relationship. The coolest part? Though obviously an important part of your world, you left it for last in your post. Too many people define themselves entirely by their relationship. You are you, and that's a good thing. A happy relationship complements that.

you have a knack for noticing things about my posts and, through them, about me, that only i seem to find important... ;) i really appreciate that about you.
how is cat recovering? i've been scouring her posts and comments throughout the ordeal and have been unable to keep you two off my mind for very long. sending positive thoughts like everyone else!

It just kind of jumped out at me, and made me smile. :-)

Cat is doing well, thanks. She is finally fully recovered, but it was quite freaky for a while there. I've got lots of work trauma going on. I need to post soon, but I'm just so freaking tired I don't know where to start. I worked 16 hours on Saturday alone, and I get no real time off until January.

Get lots of rest on your vacation!

I'm currently in hibernation... I'm sure I'll be posting something explaining that soon. But--a few things:

1) Current music choice is excellent. I've listened to that song about 120847694154198751341 times since the CD came out.

2) I miss you. Really. And I'm not going to have ANY time until after Thanksgiving. But after that, I'm pretty much all yours, any time, nighttimes. So if you need help moving... *grin* :) And maybe I can kick the boy out long enough for an old-school sleepover? :)

3) Congrats. You deserve every good thing that happens. Enjoy your vacation, darling... I'm quite jealous, but I'm super, super happy for you. In all things.
