Hmmm, so now Farcry is having a pain-in-the-ass graphical glitch0_o;;; I uninstalled it and cleaned it from my system. I might reinstall it later but...man. It might have been the 1.1 patch...but the problem specifically began at one point while I was playing (in the middle of a stage) and no matter what I do-start the level over, reduce graphics ( Read more... )

Ouch! Sorry your DDR pads aren't behaving...and that's so weird with FarCry...your system should be fine...so I guess we'd call it "user error" at the Helpdesk:-D

LOL!

But seriously, you wouldn't believe how many problems on campus ARE the result of user error...kinda scary considering this is supposed to be a higher learning institution...

Dude, Miles, pat, others and now you are telling me about OIS issues. And I've worked I-Commons for years (we get stupid questions here too, ya know.)

Trust me, I BELIEVE.

if you're looking for someone to play neverwinter with, let me know. i've been wanting to give the multiplayer a good go-through since i got the game last summer.

also, if you have homeworld 1, i'd love to play that too. homeworld 2 i haven't picked up yet, because i wanted to finish hw1, which is really freaking hard.

as for far cry, wait for the 1.2 patch to be fully released. then try. if it still doesn't work...*shrugs*.

yeah, well since I didn't really buy Farcry one way or the other (I got it from Miles, really) this isn't a big loss in either case. I can play Rise of Nations and that's fine by me=D and Independent-publisher titles (my favorite) never take that much video card and RAM support in any case.

I have Homeworld 1, yeah. Love that game. Need to actually try it on my new comp, since I've only played it in the past on a 333 MHz computer...yeah, THAT was pretty tough.

I'd love to play Neverwinter with you...I have no idea what I'd be doing, but I've read the Instruction Manual and it seems really fun. I'll try to catch you on AIM once I get it installed.

Yeah, Miles gave me a bunch of old games he had in return for me paying for his half of the electric bill (=good deal.) So I'm playing some of the games he gave me.

Other then Farcry and Homeworld 2, he also gave me:
Spider-Man 2 (which I won't touch because the PC version sucks)
Star Wars: Galaxies (which I might touch once the "Jump to lightspeed" expansion comes out, since I was a X-Wing and TIE fighter fan back in the day)
Planeside and Planetside EX (likely will not touch due to intense RAM needs)
Jedi Knight II (just fun, even if it IS old.)
XIII (seemed intriguing enough to play through.)
um..

That might be it.

Oh, and Medal of Honor and the Spearhead expansion. Twice over...cuz he had two.

Think that's it.
