*hugs* I'm so sorry about Mike's Dad.

I agree about Supernatural. I have started (only just!) watching Dr. Who. I watched a few episodes and I liked them. I don't see it becoming an obsession but then...I never saw Supernatural or BSG doing that either.

Speaking of which, I HAS A SHOW YOU CAN WATCH! It's called Battlestar Galactica. And you still haven't watched the final season! New! Canon! Do you know what I wouldn't give to go back and have new BSG canon????

I'm sorry you're having a bit of a rough time right now. ILU. *hugs*

I have lots of people recommending Dr. Who for many years, I guess I am just overwhelmed by how many seasons there have already been and would I even understand what's going on if I just started watching it? You are right about BSG....I really dropped the ball on that last season. Jamie Bamber alone is reason enough to watch the whole series again. Maybe my new years resolution?

I find myself watching SPN reruns because this season is so unsatisfying. How sick are we of Sam right now? And lack of Castiel? And what happened with Crowley???? OY.

Oooh! Okay. I'm glad you mentioned that about Who because that is exactly how I ended up getting forced to watch some Who. I said I have no idea where to start, there's just too much.

And as it turns out, the Who reboot, starting with the Ninth doctor (season 1 of the new stuff) is much like the BSG reboot, in that you don't have to have any idea what happened in previous seasons for it to make sense. And in fact, it's better if you don't. So you can just start with Season 1 of the new stuff and go from there. Which is what I'm doing. :-)

Happy hollerdays to you. anonymous December 6 2010, 20:41:25 UTC
Sorry about Mike's dad. :( There's never a good time for that to happen, but it always seems to be worse when it happens near the holidays. *hugs*

Shows? We are obsessed with Modern Family and Dexter. Modern Family has to be THE funniest show on television, right now. Watch it. Dexter is crazy good and suspenseful, but you'd have to start from Season 1 to understand it all. So if you have time for a Dexter marathon (and don't get too sick to your stomach at the sight of blood), then you must watch it.

$1200 for HP legos?? Wow. That's insane.

Yeah we had about 30 sets of HP Legos that we had collected through the years, so I knew that was going to be quite a project.

I love Modern Family and Michelle and Erica keep begging me to watch Dexter...I have watched a little and I loved it. I need to start from the beginning, though.

Yup, I didn't realize how much our Dad was the "glue" in our family. Didn't really hit me that he was the reason so many family get together's happened, like Hawaii vacations and trips to Europe and just simple quick "everyone come over for dinner" I miss him so much. I dreamed last night he was helping me replace a water heater and he was scolding me for letting it get so bad, lol.

Harvey will sorely be missed, bless his heart.

So glad you posted! Maybe you should do it more than every 6 months. love you.
