I just spent an hour or so looking through my copy of Queen Elizabeth's Wardrobe Unlock'd and now, I want to do Elizabethan, again.

I just love it. The clothes are amazingly beautiful and flattering and some of the embroidery details are insane.

I think everyone should dress like this, all the time. Everyone. Even going to the grocery store.

cannot come out soon enough! I just spent 3 days re-reading Order of the Phoenix and theHalf-Blood Prince, and now I'm all exicted and want to read Deathly Hollows RIGHT NOW.

Well, the petunias appear to be doing better. In addition to generous amounts of "Insect Killing Soap", I have also been hand-picking the offending caterpillars off of the plants themselves, and smashing them with rocks.

I then leave their carcasses on the cobblestones as a warning to other caterpillars.

It's very satisfying, and, apparently,

I would say I'm a bug person, generally. I don't mind spiders, and even the sugar ants who come every spring are easy to stop by cutting off their food source and cleaning house. I think beetles are quite fun, and I've hatched praying mantises and butterflies with my students ( Read more... )
