walmart defintely didnt give you a cd with a virus.
it wont even power on?
you check the power strip, the switch on the back, or if youre pushing the button long enough?
also if its really hot in the room, it can affect your pc performance, i had mine reboot on me twice yesterday, the internal temp went to 58 degrees celcius , well on the processcor, thats around 180 degrees. so it shuts off to prevent damage, my advice, when you go home, take the panel off the side of the case, and try and power it on see what happens.
That's what I found hilarious...but it just so happened, that's whenever I was trying to finish uploading my junk.
NOW.
YES, it will power on, but it remains stuck on my black screen where it shows the memory, and it won't even budge. If it manages to get it past that, it'll take me to our account screens, I'll usually click on my name, then that's it. No more.
The first time this happened, I actially had an option (I have to do this via memory) to either 1.) Start Windows 2.) Start Windows up and where I last safely used it there was a third option...I don't remember the wording of all of them, maybe I will tonight. I just hit start Windows from when I last used it...etc.
That didn't help, obviously.
It's usually 75-85 degrees in my room, maybe less, because I have two fans and air conditioning. I keep a fan on the PC at all times. Plus, I've been cutting it off at night rather than keep it on like I used to. I've never encountered a heat problem. Then again, this is the first summer I've had this particular PC.
