The omnipotent, ever awesome Mahlstadt family lives there and in DM's surrounding communities which makes it 70% less shitty. And Mr. Stensons's wife will become a Vet in that area and support his music lovin' can't find cool venues ass and I think that speaks for itself. And also when his wife is having a shitty day and is PMS-ing (insert horrid female ailment here) she will be able to bitch and smoke with her sissies and not bite his head off for blinking wrong..... I think that's super appealing.

Oh and someone on the thread mentioned getting a gyro at 1:30am in Ames, what's funny is that I've heard of that cart from the Dr. at work that went to Iowa State. There's also apparently an awesome Indian(dot) deli called Pita Pita that is well worth checking out and apparently cheap and super good.
