Fangirl-ness!

I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix last night. Overall it was good. It had really weird pacing, and some of the camera angles and movements did strange things to my senses, but I liked if cause it's Harry Flipping Potter!

It totally tripped me up when they had Sirius showing Harry a picture of the old Order of the Pheonix word for word from what Moody says in the book.

For some reason the final battle between Dumbledore and Vlodemort turned into a jedi lightening battle. I had flashbacks to half a dozen Star Wars movies in the course of about thirty seconds.

I was a little disappointed that they did not include the whole prophecy. They had only the two most important lines of it, but it really looses quite a bit of meaning that way. There mentioned nothing about the parallel of Nevile Longbottom to Harry Potter in the prophecy, although they did emphasize the parallel between Nevile and Harry in the rest of the movie. That made me very happy.

I absolutely loved the portrayal of the Weasly twins as well as the totally creepy evilness of Umbridge. Snape had a much smaller part in the movie then he did in the book, but this is thoroughly understandable because something had to be cut.

Now I'm totally psyched about the seventh book. That was just what I needed!
