Hooray Maria! It is tres exciting that you have info! I'm assuming that Jaclyn is a lot more helpful than Lynn Del-slash-colon-hypheneddo?
I'm cracking up at her summary of the family. It's so interesting. It sounds like Mr et Mme Chabanne and their children will be very fun to live with! I'm kind of jealous... I don't know if I'd have the courage to go to a foreign language-speaking country and live with a family! You're so cool.
I'm glad you updated your LJ... this is crazy. We'll all share feelings of "OMFG WTF" in a few days.

Hey Stephanie -
Thanks a lot for all the pointers! I'm really excited and nervous, but the family sounds awesome - I've been emailing with them a lot recently, and they seem so nice!
I know that I will be in the area/suburb called "Corenc" - I think it's Northeast, and pretty close to the university and the river.
I have a question for you: I know this is kind of last minute (I leave next tuesday!), but would you still be willing to lend me that plug adapter/voltage converter that you have? If not, no worries, just let me know soon if you can, so that I can get one before I go.
