whatever that is.... The BBC program I assume. Anyway

Apparently “The Big Read” assumes that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed.
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track ( Read more... )

I don't think I would dare do this. At a glance, I have read more than 6, but surely not many enough to save myself from embarrassment. I am very impressed by your list!

If I may make a suggestion, I would suggest you read number 95 A Confederacy of Dunces - John Kennedy Toole. One of the most amazing books I know! :)

Thanks for being impressed. :)
I am very pleased with myself, even if it's no great merit to have read 'The DaVinci code' and other such drivel.
I don't think this list has many books with an intrinsic value. And, as someone else said, it's really British/American centred.
Oh, btw, swedish thrillers are all the rage in Italy, these days.
I'll put 'A confederacy..' on my reading list, thanks for the suggestion.
I love reading.
