Welcome intrepid explorer, visitor to my journal. Here's a few things you should probably know about me.
You don't need to ask to friend me, though please comment to this post, or one of my visible polls, so I will know who you are, else, I will always wonder, and it will be sad, in an 'unrequited friend' kinda way.
I don't add people back automatically. I used to, but then I found my friends list crammed with all sorts of stuff that frankly, I don't have the time or inclination to read. I will check every now and then to see who has added me, and then I may add you back, once I have had a chance to look at your journal. If you are the sort of person who gets offended when they are not added back, then just don't add me in the first place, okay, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
I'm not all that fussy with the journals I read, but they do have something in common, they're honest. I don't care if you're black, white, speckled, gay straight etc? What I do care about is if you are in some way interesting to me, and you don't mangle the English language too much (much leeway will be given if English is your second language, but let's face it, most people who mangle English are native speakers). I won't read anyone who uses '1337', STiCKy CaPS crap either. Also, if you are racist or homophobic, then kindly fuck off as I am an equal opportunity dater :P.
If I don't add you back, you are under no obligation to take me off your friends list. Most of my entries are friends only messages. If for some strange reason you enjoy reading my journal, then I'm glad. By all means, please enjoy.
If I add you and then remove you later, please don't be too offended. It was probably just because I thought we didn't have enough common ground. I don't do these things to hurt people. Honestly, the drama that surrounds 'defriending' on LiveJournal is more then a little crazy. I've got enough dramas in my life-as I am sure do you, and we can all do without the internet drama.
