I have make a point of never leaving any of that employer match money on the table, ever since I have had jobs that offered it. But until I decided to buy another house, a couple years ago, I couldn't be arsed to pay attention to any of it. Retirement is a nebulous goal.
I'm probably going to show my ass and my privilege here, but I think it's possible for a lot of people, assuming a willingness and ability to lower their standard of living and sock away the rest
