Custom Wallpaper - Arianthe
Female Blood Elf Hunter.
The setting: Hillsbrad Foothills, right outside Tarren Mill.
The gear: Middle - Beaststalker's. Right - Demon Stalker's. Left - Scourgestalker's.
The reasoning: I chose these three gearsets to represent the three stages of WoW, as they are all from separate expansion packs.
The Beaststalker's armor was the very first "tier" set (Dungeon Set 1) that Hunters could obtain. Yes, it was butt ugly and yes, looking back on it the stats were awful, but it was the first. That made it special.
Demon Stalker's was released with The Burning Crusade, Tier 4 pieces earned as your first raiding set (through Karazhan, Gruul's Lair, and Magtheridon). It was kind of dull and brown, but for those of us playing Blood Elves, it was our first true taste of tier gear and dungeon sets.
Scourgestalker's, specifically the Conqueror's set that Arianthe is wearing here, is the Tier 8.5 set earned through running 25-man Ulduar, currently the highest level content in the game. Obviously released with Wrath of the Lich King, it is the pinnacle of the Hunter Tier pieces and quite obviously a far cry from the days of running Stratholme and Scholomance!
