I like Paul Rankin but not enough to want to shag him (his missis is alright though). I recall seeing Paul doing a recipe for Creme Brulée and he said after sprinkling the sugar on top of the custard that you should use a kitchen blowtorch or "put it under a salamander". I was stoned at the time and the mental images of a giant lizard sitting on top of a tray of custard filled ramikins still haunt me.
Rick Stein strikes me as a guy who would make a weekend sea fishing a really fun time. Especially when it gets to cooking the fish!
