Searching for the US Skins, I ended up watching Jersey Shore and Teen Mom 2. Even though I'm not in their demographic, both of the shows personally resonated with me. I guess something totally tacky can be successful if it has some emotional truth.

Today's double feature was The Daytrippers and Mademoiselle Chambon. I enjoyed each of the dissimlar movies about infidelity and family. (The miracle of Netflix indexing.)

The two lead women Hope Davis and Sandrine Kiberlain both have the pale thinness that I'll never have.

Things that come in pairs

I saw part of a Masterpiece Theater series, something like Darby Manor (sometimes it is still fun to guess without googling) and upstairs downstairs drama in the first decade of the 1900s. Now I've started Gosford Park, which after a few minutes seems like a similar story a few years later. I think I'll have to watch it in installments as well.

Maggie Smith is in both. I guess there aren't that many older women actresses whose faces haven't been deformed still around.

Now that I see Ryan Phillipe, I think I did see Gosford Park.
