Last night reminded me of why I love living in Riverside, and how lucky I am to be back on this side of town.

Hearing that it is gone makes me sad but the fact is that I mourned it 4 years ago when I visited and found a bar where the tea and chess boards used to be.

I think I need to support my family owned coffee shop today.

BTW, did you hear about the billboard MickyD's put up near Starbuck's Corp offices?

In huge letters, it reads, "Four Bucks is Just Dumb."
smaller, it states "Now serving expresso" with the golden arches sophisticatedly depected in the corner.

I about chocked on my Venti Brava with two extra shots. ;)

Actually, my parents gifted me with some, if I think about it. My new laptop. I can go hide in the garden, sit on my deck, huddle by the light of the door sttop and write. It's amazing the freedom its given me to write where I am most inspiser -- and more apt-- to write the most.

I would love to hear more about your experience with writer's groups. I am thinking about findig one, but would love input on what to watch for, be aware of, etc.
