Any Interest?

I'm curious if (a) anyone's still watching this come, and (b) is there any interest in a second wave? Whether you wrote before or not, I'd like to hear some input. Hell, I never finished my stories. *sigh* Another question related to this: Should I somehow get a theme for the next wave?

I'm still watching, but only out of inertia. RL has me in its clutches too tightly for ficathons.

I'm still watching but do not, to be honest, have any hope that anyone else will post a story. I think the impetus has run out.

I'm not sure what you mean by a second "wave"? Is this a way of encouraging people to finish their stories, or is it the same as a new round?

Yeah, "wave" = "round" in this case. Depending on if there's a theme or not, well, then I don't see a problem with someone picking up their dropped project. (Something I'd be apt to do, if I did participate... *considers* First term is dedicated to senior projects so honestly I doubt I'll be writing much. I haven't written anything my lj entries and emails all summer, drr.) /ramble

^_^ I'd try to figure out promotion schemes again. I have a hard time figuring this out, I admit, given that I'm torn between wanting to post promos everywhere but also hate the idea of spamming people (afterall, I ignore announcements more often than not. ;;^^)

If you do do a second round, I'd suggest making the submission time shorter. At the time, I thought it was a good idea having such a long gap before the submission date, but in practice people's enthusiasm seems to have fizzled out.

The story that I wrote for the thon turned out to be the most popular one I've ever written, so I'd like to add a quick thanks to you for organising it all and providing the initial impetus for writing the story in the first place.

I was wondering about that. What do you suggest for a due date if, say, the 'thon opened on Aug 15?

A second round might be fun, and it might encourage some of us who didn't finish the first time to get moving and do so.

=) Glad you're still thinking about finishing it! I know I want to finish mine. =3 There were a bunch of stories I longed to see, so I'm hoping one day there might be more finished.
