thankyou! i did a search for people age over forty. your username caught my eye, because i am not "mainstream" and am also a mum. :-) it's quiet at my journal whilst we are in the process of leaving the city (sydney) and moving to the country (we are heading for the hills, away from the madness of civilization...lol!). i can't resist browsing lj whilst i'm on a coffee break! hope your christmas/new year is really happy! and looking forward to knowing you more here in lj.

anyone over 20 is hard to find, and most of my lj friends have become my "adopted" children (my own son is 19)...

the move sounds interesting and I look forward to pics of just what the "country" of Australia looks like!

Hello, I was just surfing Live Journal, and I cam across you. You remind me a litte of someone I used to know, I like your journal, and it makes me happy, because I'm young and very aprehensive about going into everything -life, college, ect with the added baggage of sexuality. So seeing someone older and empowered make me happy, I'm friending you.

I so added you! I read some random shit in your journal and let me tell you...you are a female version of my son!

He got his IB diploma last May. He's an acting freak. He got an industrial in his left ear 2 years ago. Right now, I'm typing and he's loading the pipe with a little celebratory "tobacco"! Oh! and yeah, he's gay and came out to the entire school in 10th grade.

So, you're in Delray (or thereabouts) and I'm up the road in Fort Pierce...not the greatest place to be gay or bi- or "alternative" of any kind, but he's going to Gainesville in May, so it'll be better for him then.

Hope your Christmas and New year's were/are awesome. I'm usually on MSN as jlnhr@bellsouth.net if you want to talk some time.
