It felt good to stretch his legs, to Feel the breeze and mists of Grand Chokmah (as much as Peony irritates him, the city IS beautiful), and actually do something other than stew in a jail cell.

And so it was that the (escorted) God General Dist sat, steeplefingered, on a balcony overlooking the grounds near the waiting area, considering how best to exercise his newfound greater degree of freedom. He is, naturally, doing this by talking to himself, commenting languidly as he gestures throughout his logical progression. "Perhaps I should go out into the town and get a meal fitting for a genius like myself. Or maybe I'll go to the tailor's... This suit IS showing some wear, after all... Ah, I know! I should go seek out Jade, and see ( ... )

Natalia stared at him. She had been too quick to dismiss him as unremarkable. In motion, he was almost peculiar. And in addressing her, so completely strange that it took her several seconds to fully comprehend the fact that she had just been called little Natalia by a man she'd never met.

She struggled not to lose her temper.

"I do beg your pardon, sir," Natalia said sweetly, a delicate emphasis on his presumed title so as to remind him of his place in the world, "but I do not believe we have ever met. You will forgive me, therefore, if I say that my business here is my own."

Still, she stayed where she was, eyeing him. Curious. Had he been talking to himself, when she first approached?

"Sir?" Dist blinks behind his thick glasses. The emphasis on the words were quite interesting. Clearly, she was taking umbrage at some perceived slight or another (Probably the fact that he's not behind bars)... But why 'sir'? Why pretend they've never met?

Oh. Right.

He straightens in his chair, grinning again. "Ah, so you must be one from the other world! Allow me to introduce myself." A hand is placed to his chest, looking up to the air dramatically as he replies to the girl, "I am the God-General Dist the Rose, a man blessed with both beauty and genius, a master of fonic research and fontech. Your world would be at a loss, indeed, without my brilliance. A pity indeed."

Ah, it feels so GOOD to be able to do that again. He turns, then, to look back to Natalia. "In this world, we've met many times... I regret to inform you that the Emperor is quite busy at the moment." Thankfully... And why was Dist phrasing it that way? Did he figure out Natalia's reason for being here already? "He might even be unavailable all day unless he ( ... )

Natalia continued to stare at him. If anything, her stare had only gotten more blank. And somewhat more scornful. "You are a God-General?" Why didn't she feel as though she ought to be sounding the alarm.

Although that was slightly more concerning; he claimed favor with the--

Had he said he? Natalia paused, frowning faintly. She gazed at the man measuringly. He looked less than trustworthy, possibly even a little deranged, but she had harbored similar thoughts about Asch, and...

"Empress," she corrected him, watching his expression.
