I was bored earlier, and decided to go look see if I could find any pictures of our 'lovelies' alleged 'new' car, I think the article said it was silver
Ooh, good post! I for one am SO glad he got a new(er) car, because at least it will have decent seat belts, I hope! I was a little worried about him driving the boy around in that old car...
Wow, what I don't know about cars! They all look alike to me. I drive a Toyota Corolla. Cheap, dependable, fuel-efficient, boring. Don't have to worry about it being stolen!
Heee hee. Your steering wheels are on the wrong side.
1986 isn't exactly new, yes it does have seat belts. Joe will probabley be a bit big for the back seat now he's nine, our granddaughters used to get their trainers/feet stuck under the front seats, Grandad was horrified and swore he'd buy a Range Rover (4 by 4) just to take them out. I do hope there is no fighting between the 'girlfriend' and Joe over who sits up front with Daddy.
I drive (passed my test last August) a Vauxhall, very boring. should have driven years ago, David was always pleased to drive (loved his motorcars) we made sure all the kids passed their tests, bought them an old banger each when they were eighteen, mainly to keep the boys off motorbikes, worked a treat, the eldest daughter used to ride a Kawasaki (however you spell that) something about best laid plans of mice and men lol.
Oh, poor Joe! I hope he gets "shotgun." (That's what we always called the front passenger seat.)
I know Barbara (such_jaunt) was learning how to drive, and she's in her mid-twenties, I think. I didn't want to learn when I was 16 -- I was really scared, but you don't really have a choice out here in the country! There's no public transportation from the farm! Everyone here takes Driver's Ed in high school, but I do have a friend from Chicago who's never learned to drive.
There's just something about cars - getting out on the road, cranking some really awful music, windows down, you know? You could just TAKE OFF, go anywhere you want! After I was about twenty or so, I've just loved driving! I miss my old '74 Chevy sooooo bad sometimes. Except I'd be completely broke, buying gas for that monster these days!
