Gods, this is so beautiful and bleak I had to re read it. You write one of the most realistic Cottle's I've read, yet he does something I'd never think he would do. The characters thought processes seem so real. The way Laura is always the politician, always thinking and trying to manipulate rather than just reacting stood out for me (If that makes sense). Stunning.

Oh, that was very interesting. I was hoping if I gave this a few days I would have something relevent to say. It didn't work. :) I can't believe you (by which I mean someone) wrote a completely believeble fic where Cottle offs himself.

This also brings up one of the issues I've had with BSG, namely, that there is absolutely no reason for a warship to be carrying around cancer drugs. So anything they scrounged up would be gone in very short order. Though I think the show would get too dark if anyone admitted to that reality.

Relevant or not, I was happy to read your review. After two weeks I hadn't expected anymore comments. Thank you for taking the trouble.

Ran of diloxin, wow... A very depressing story but I couldn't stop myself from reading to the end - too good!

Thank you!

It is very gratifying to read a review like that, three months after the story is put on-line.

(How on Earth did you find it?)

The dialogue in this is just pitch-perfect throughout, and the ending was a kick in the gut. I read the warning but forgot it, I was so caught up in the suspense, so I was holding out hope until the very last lines. Just brilliant! Thanks for sharing.

(FYI, I found this on thesmokingdoc while scouring the web for some good Roslin/Cottle interaction. This answered the call and then some!)
