For the quad horsies, not for me. Farrier came this morning and trimmed up their feet. Everyone was nicely behaved, except that Tess and Archie each snatched a hoof away from him once. I took a year or so off from cons. While the longer travel distance from my current location is a factor, my desire to go has been pretty low too.

Looking at smaller cons within reasonable travel distance (I will not fly) they seem to have little or no programming at all and just amount to oversized furmeets. "Let's hang out and see what happens." Mostly that just doesn't appeal to me.
As the attendance has grown, the signal to noise ratio has declined while the cost of attending has risen. While there are friends I would like to see more often, this just doesn't seem like the way to achieve that.
