For some reason, I was really chilled-out yesterday and today. Even though I had three tests (and voice and speech) yesterday. I just wasn't stressed at all. It was wierd. And today I had about 4 hours of sleep under my belt and still was very mellow. Hm. Maybe I'm turning over a new leaf? Then again, maybe not ( Read more... )

Miranda, shortish brown hair? Knows Katie B-J? I know her! We did Choate summer camp together...tell her I say hi, and that I'm coming to Night at the Improv (will you be in it? Sil vous plait?)...and same applies to Zach if you see him...

Si! I'll tell her that, though I don't think she does improv. And Zach, sadly, is no longer in the department.. he switched to writing.

Don't worry about the monologue. If you think it is aweful, change a few things about it and see if you like it better. Changing things works a lot. Don't be sad, you definitely belong in our class. DUH

i will see you Monday!

michele i'm sure yours will be great. if you're unsure, just make a definite choice for the character.

Let me give you some advice for your monologue...

When I went to audition for Emerson I had this great monologue, but after a while, since I did it so many times, it became old to me and I started to not like it. So here's what Peter told me to do:

Try your monologue differently. Whether that means to change your objective or to do your entire piece in a southern dialect. My advice, change your objective. It will make a huge difference. Hell, that might even become your new objective! It'll add something new.

Let me know how it goes hokay? You'll do great either way ♥
