So, I watched the 10th Anniversary Les Mis Concert DVD this weekend, and my love for Les Mis has been rekindled.
Things I have realized, after watching the DVD:
Philip Quast is an amazing Javert, and I love him.
Colm Wilkinson still bothers me. His vowels are really wierd and the "2-4-6-0-11111 NUH!" is irritating.
I'm not the biggest Ruthie Henshall fan.
Michael Ball is the first Marius to make me cry in "A Little Fall of Rain." Usually it's the Eponine who makes me cry, but there was something about his face and expressions that was captivating and perfect.
Michael Maguire is a really attractive Enjolras. I love his little smirk thing.
Lea Salonga moves her mouth a lot.
Gavroche is an adorable character.
Grantaire is one of my favorite characters in the whole show, though he doesn't say much.
I also watched the Passion concert with Michael Cerveris, Patti LuPone, and Audra McDonald. I liked it a lot, but it's VERY Sondheim. And it made me really happy that Alexander Gemignani is in it. And so is Patti's son. =D And I recognized them BOTH without looking at the cast list before. I kind of squealed.
Newsies is a cute movie. Really, really cute. And very much something I WOULD like. Typical.
