So I had every intention of going to the mall after work and buying the new Ben Folds at Target since they had it on sale for like $12. It was just the bare bones, album, no fancy cover/booklet/DVD version, but I figured it was OK, because it was only 12 bucks ( Read more... )

pre-ordered the super nifty version from his official site, but am still waiting for it. They had a special: for $27.99 (incl shipping) you get the deluxe version of the album (same one you got) PLUS his web-only EP "Songs For Goldfish."

You can still get 'Goldfish' separately, at www.attackedbyplastic.com

He might be selling it at this shows, too.

I probably would have bought it from the official site even if it was a little more, since I know (or at least assume) more money goes to the artist. Supporting indie shops is good, too :)

You did a noble thing. ;-) Seriously, it is important to support local stores. Especially ones that have an attractive staff with good taste in music.

Pre-ordered Songs for Silverman and Songs for Goldfish and got it yesterday. Definitely worth the price. Especially since I didn't have to buy it. ;-)
