Ok... Update time!!

So I don't know what to start with, the frickin' awesome show Sunday night, or the fact that I just got a job?? I think I'll start with the show, that way you'll all read it in anticipation of finding about about my new situation :D

Quick. Someone convince me that I should't call the Oakdale back and buy the single 8th row center ticket that's available for the Guster/Ben/Rufus show tonight. I don't have the money, and my car is dying and I'm seeing the them on Sunday.

So for the past several years, Laurel (the music camp I work at every summer) has not had proper percussion equipment for the orchestra. Drove into Boston last night to go to Jake Ivories. It was a friggin' blast as usual. You guys are just about the most fun group of people I've ever been around. The food was actually quite tasty, the music was good (as usual) and the company was stellar. The free bottle of shit champagne really brightened up the evening as well!! So rehearsals started for Chicago and it's *super* fun. I adore the music director, John. He's exactly my age and we have a psychotic amount of things in common. I just got the call this afternoon! They want me to play Mamma in Chicago. My Dad has taken to calling me Queen Latefa now *giggle*

I'm so very excited!

Show is July 22, 23, and 24 :-D

Wow... Shut out... They sold out in less than ten minutes. Damn my co-worker for signing off line after I had signed on. Had she left it on, I could have gotten in, but I sat down at 5:00 to log in and buy them, and had to sign back online. By the time I got in, they were gone.
