Why have I been absent? AND good news

First: I'm finishing up my first year of grad school. It's stressful and wonderful and I'm a much more competent teacher than I ever gave myself credit for. how do I know? Piccies asap! Yes!!! OMG. buying a damned house. When in the hell did I become a fully fledged adult? I suppose now I have to start thinking about retirement and stocks and investing, too. Ugh.

I have this lump of emotion in my chest that varies - depending on the time and thought - from OMG TERRIFIED to HELL YEAH!!
