Been a while?

I suppose it's about time I threw in a little update. Not much going on, nothing much has changed. I'm still working at the Children's clinic and have *almost* gotten to where I can stand alone on most things I'm supposed to do. (I did my first catheter the other day and got it right on the first try! Yay!) Phone calls have gotten much easier, as ( Read more... )

Congratulations on the car. I hear that in the US you pretty much need to drive everywhere unless you live in one of those east coast cities. And it did seem like we drove everywhere, even across mall carparks to go to different shops while I was in LA.

I’m a little concerned about these SlimQuick things though. A quick google tells me that they contain the usual combination of appetite suppressants, natural laxatives and energy boosting ingredients where too much ginseng or any depending on your health can be bad for you. Likewise the caffeine addition really doesn’t sound like a good idea and yerba mate apparently contains similar stimulants. Full list here. If you want the nutrient boost you’re probably better off just buying multi-vitamins. These combination formulas are always somewhat dubious e.g. things like Slimatee which does indeed help you lose weight temporarily because it’s a strong laxative. If you’re getting along with healthy eating and exercise you probably don’t need anything extra anyway as much as these ( ... )

Thanks, and yeah, the place where I work is roughly 40 miles away and it's about 7 or 8 miles out to town. If I'm at an outlet mall, though, I'll park in one place kinda inbetween all the stores and just walk back and forth the stores I shop at. Someone has took it upon themselves to key my car, however, and now I'm upset.

This is true, and I've decided not to waste any more money on anything like that, it would probably make me sick anyway. I almost threw up in mid-swallow when trying to down that one packet...that was not fun. I need to learn how to swim and ride a bike so I can at least not completely fail at exercising. I get embarrassed too easily on the treadmill...

I hope it won’t cost too much to have that seen to. I remember it being possible to just buy a container of the paint and fix it yourself years ago so possibly you’ll be able to do that.

I once tried a SlimFast milkshake just because I wanted a chocolate milkshake and that was the next best thing. I really was a bad idea and I do think my intestines forgave me for days.
How safe is bike riding where you are? You don’t want to run the risk of being knocked down or anything else unpleasant. I can’t ride a bike anyway so I can hardly talk. I would recommend swimming, if only because it’s enjoyable though starting out slow with a treadmill really isn’t a bad idea. It’s not about anybody else’s limits after all: it’s just about you and what you want to achieve. Then again, I have a treadmill at home so I’m not really in a position to end up next to someone else at a gym whose running a 10 minute mile in comparison to my moderately brisk stroll. If you’re so inclined you could start out with a workout routine at home and build up ( ... )

I think you still can...I'll try that since I probably'd have to pay a deductible on my insurance.

Yeah...I don't really particularly need anything like that, anyway..

Oh, it should be fine, it's a little one-lane road. Cars fly up and down it all the time but as long as I listen I'll be fine. Ahaha, I can't swim either. ._. But I can do some sort of water exercises anyway. Yeah...it's when I see people running on the treadmill and reading a book at the same time that I feel inferior. I'll do that. Walking up and down the road at home shouldn't be much different than walking on a treadmill with a sharp incline.
