What the hell is a 'paper book'?!

Anyways, you're right in many ways. However, there is GREAT CONTENT available.

OK, here's what you're going to do.

It's called delicious.com. Social bookmarking. Instead of using google for general topics, try that place. And make an account. You can access your bookmarks (and add to it) from anywhere. I'm hooked up at work, on my desktop and my laptop. It's wonderful.

Secondly, though Google is the shit, chase links. The best sites/bands/news out there doesn't always come up on Google results. I love chasing links.

That being said, iGoogle is my personalized homepage. News feeds galore. I get most of the info I'm looking for off that.

And youtube, though great, is severely overrated. Still not as bad as myspace.

I have come to really love the internet in these past few days :P

As much as I love to read paper books, for reference topics, especially cooking, the internet is AMAZING. Need to know how long and what ways you can cook rapini? You can find out in 10 seconds, instead of going out to the library, and fumbling through an array of cookbooks. Also, not to promote piracy or anything, but I have basic cable (I don't even get peachtree!) but I have unlimited internet. God bless torrents and direct download sites! It's also a really great way to talk to friends in the middle of the night and not feel so alone when you can't sleep :)
