It's like it becomes its own fanfiction, right? Yes, and I could probably look for a better fanfiction than the show. I don't know why they didn't make it like an anthology, each season about someone else. They could still explore the world and tell stories that begin and end.
Seems to be a plague... Something recent?
By the way, I've just remembered "The Watch" was released some time ago. Is it me or no one really talked about it since the trailer? I'll give it a try.
Something recent? PotC always comes to mind, but as for recent I notice this opinion also starting to show in MCU fandom. Though I'm not sure if it's fair toward a thing that has inconsistency and endlessness built in its core... Unless within one arc-plot, and maybe but only maybe a local canon. (My, I really am out of the geeky market these days, am I not? o____o)
Discworld's "The Watch", that one? I only remember fandom perking up at the first news (somehow already with photos) and then nothing, but that might be just me not following it actively. Granted, if it was popular I wouldn't need to do anything to be reminded anyway... I've never been really interested in Discworld adaptations (not quite unlike with the Disc fanfiction) but if you check it out I'll probably be more interested in your report than in the show itself. :)

Huh, I like this wording. It's like it becomes its own fanfiction, right?
Maybe the story should have ended there.
*sigh* Seems to be a plague...
