If I've known an actor only from one role, it's weird to see him in something else or just being himself. For three months I've been watching the President of Ukraine talking about the war, now I'm watching him playing a teacher who became the president of Ukraine. I happened to push it even further and avoid other roles, if I liked the one role enough...
But the series is hillarious and I'm quite addicted to it.
Oh, so it's comedy? Tempting, tempting... Though my stack of books is towering over any stack of shows I ever had waiting, and the former is still neglected due of reasons... *a working Saturday sigh*

Unfortunately I've discovered that season 2 doesn't have Russian subtitles I could automatically translate. Automatically generated Russian subtitles, translated automatically, result in rubbish. I never wished I spoke Russian before.

A Polish series about the bad flood in 1997 in Wrocław! Do you know it?
I opened Netflix with the intention to watch something else, but this was pushed at me and it looked interesting. Especially since we just had this bad flood one year ago in Germany. 190 people died, and even though there had been warnings, authorities did nothing. They did still nothing when already people were sitting on their roofs, yelling for help. A video that was taken that night turned up some days ago.
I remember this 1997 flood as well, it was also bad on the German side of the Odra.
It's also interesting to me to see the Polish people and the buildings and I even spotted a familiar Trabant car on the streets!

I'm happy you found it interesting! I'm wondering if many people from abroad will watch it. I wish we could show the world more of modern Poland. When it's shown in movies, it's either WWII times or the communist era. The nineties are closer to present times, but things have really changed here since joining EU in 2004.

That's terrible. I remember the news, but I don't recall hearing about so many victims.
