Whoa! You Can Buy Me On EBay!!

Oct 17, 2004 12:30

Seriously. I'm up for auction. Or, rather, an adorable, creepy-but-cuddly version of me is. I just now ran across the listing for it, and I'm feeling this bizarre mixture of flattered and freaked-out. As one of my earlier entries mentions, I'm no stranger to having people do artistic renderings of me, but I've never been made into something 3- ( Read more... )

And "ginchy", too. It's sorta breathtaking. :)

Does the doll come with any special accessories?

That line has me a bit befuddled. Which is breathtaking? My vocabulary or my dolly doppelganger?

"Does the doll come with any special accessories?"Hee! Funny that you should ask that, as just last night I was considering making a few little accessories to send to Janet and have her update the listing with new photos and such. I still may do that, since it seems that nobody wants little ole me. The counter registers that 80 people have viewed it, but alas, none of them have bid on me. Poo! :( So...I thought perhaps she would sell better if she came with some cute little things like most of Janet's other dolls have. Therefore, I'm going to make the following accessories: a tiny poetry book/journal, a miniature version of Monkey, an itty-bitty round link from a chain to use as a lip piercing, a piece of paper showing all of my tattoos and placement of them with a black felt tip pen for the lucky winner to draw them onto me with, and lastly, a supercool miniature plastic and metal retro ( ... )

Neat! I'd buy it myself, but I just spent the remainder of my last paycheck on a Lenore doll and a few movies, and I'm broke for a couple of weeks. I'm finally back into my old habits again. I guess that's a good sign.

Hrmmm...I suspect that the only reason you would want a doll of me is so that you can use me as a pincushion. :P

Wow. You are just now getting a Lenore doll? I've had mine for several years now, but, of course, it took me over two years to get her. Slack-ass Roman. Bah! But, I insisted that she have her butt signed so she'd match all of my other Lenore stuff, which is all drawn on and autographed. I'm still waiting for a damn package supposedly full of all kinds of cool stuff that he said he mailed to me over 6 months ago or some shit. Again I say, Slack-ass Roman. Bah!

Why, is it a voodoo doll? I'll try to avoid the vital organs. Heh!

I was looking for a Lenore doll at DragonCon recently, but I couldn't find a single Lenore-related thing in the dealer room. I was happy to find it at Oxford Comics when I was picking up issue #11.

Heh. Sorry if I've freaked you out in some way with adding you to my "Friends List". And, don't fret...I'm not stalking you. I merely found your User Info. page (and you, in general) rather interesting and thought I might like to read some of your entries now and then. However, your journal being "Friends Only" and my not leaving a comment asking to be added due to a very chaotic last few weeks, I can understand how it would appear a bit strange for my name to suddenly appear. As for "who I am"...well, we share a mutual LJ Friend or two, which is how I came to view your Info. page in the first place. Aside from that, you can pretty much get an idea of who I am from reading my User Info. page, and should you not want me to keep you on my list, just let me know. Otherwise, I'd very much like for you to add me back so that I may be able to read some of your entries and learn more about my pals' pals. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. :)
