T minus eight days and counting... in the meantime it's someone else's turn

Of course my birthday is the highlight of any December... as it should be.

But I want to spend a little bit of time saying thank you and wishing a very happy birthday to someone who was actually one of the reasons I decided to set up this little journal in the first place. A few months back I was in the middle of writing 'The Patience of Kings' when ( Read more... )

Awwww *blushes* Thank you! That’s put a big smile on my face! :) But also thank you for giving us so much Sam/Cam ficcy goodness. Honestly, you’re a wonderful writer and you just instinctively get these characters, and our small Sam/Cam part of the Stargate universe is richer for it. I feel bad at how behind I am though, lol! But with Christmas holidays here at long last, I think I’ll finally get to sit down and get on with doing some reading, so YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! XD I’m glad you found your way over to LJ, and hopefully more people will get to read your work!

Haha yeah *looks sheepish* I don’t think I’ve stepped foot on LJ for a ridiculously long time (*glares at pile of uni notes*), but I shall try my best to be around more often! :D

Thanks again for the birthday message! Hope you’re well! :)

hehe... don't worry about it. If anything I say you should make sure you stay on top of uni. I have regrets about my own studies, I was always lazy about it. It wasn't an issue at the time, I got my high grades for being clever and having a good memory, but I wish now I had developed better study habits as they would have held me in good stead now. Quite literally a case of being too smart for my own good. So study hard, and more importantly learn *how* to study hard.

Jeez... does that sound patronising to you too? =/

Haha no, that's sound advice! If you don't mind me asking, what did you study? :)

I double majored in Computer Science and Maths. Both of which I'm sorta hard-wired to be good at. However I'm lazy about staying current, hence my lament.
