I'm trying to determine what kind of poison is in the milk- if it's slow acting than arsenic is possible. I don't detect any kind of almond scent- so I don't think it's cyanide.

That's nice and all, but... what good is it going to do? I don't think anyone is seriously going to drink the milk. I mean, what's the Milkman going to do? Force it down our throats?

Poison doesn't transfer from Cow to milk- and if it's a slow moving poison it's probably arsenic. And, unfortunately, it's possible for cows to get into something with arsenic in it.
