Quite frankly, Yosuke is a major klutz. He'll trip over things, smack into steel poles, stab his foot into the wall, and fall over other various objects. Yosuke doesn't take this facet of him well. He'll get grumpy and upset if he trips too much. Chie punishes him for it often, despite his good intentions.
In most situations, he'll choose to follow his gut over anything else. However, his development includes him actually listening to the main protagonists orders. Yosuke learns to trust Souji's judgments and decisions. He eventually comes to terms with his position and accepts the role of support.
Yosuke has a good sense of humor and can kick in few jokes. He doesn't have too many close friends, but he does have a lot of acquaintances. Sometimes he can get nosy so he might come off as annoying. Saki Konishi, notices this aspect of him and hates him for it. Yosuke sees her reality in the TV world and tries to change himself. He becomes more confident in what he does. At the beginning of the game, Yosuke dislikes being bored. According to his shadow, he would much rather be the hero of a story. His shadow also tells him that he acts happy-go-lucky to block out the pain of isolation. He hates being alone and living out in the suburbs. Thanks to Souji, he gets over a few of his insecurities and gains confidence.
While the murders of Inaba were occurring, he pieced together his own information before anyone else. He's decent at coming up with his own logical conclusions. Yosuke is able to look at things from a larger perspective. He's critical and notices things fairly quickly.
At one point, he tried to hit on Yukiko but failed miserably. He's interested in a romantic relationship which is perfectly normal for someone his age. When you get down to it, Yosuke is your average teen. He's optimistic and sociable. It isn't surprising to say that Yosuke is a bit of a pervert. He held on to swimsuits and waited for the perfect opportunity. On top of that, he spent a few minutes looking for Souji's porn behind his back. Talk about shameless. One time Yosuke bought out weapons in the middle of public. He doesn't really think things through enough. He comes off as someone who's carefree.
Keeping Yosuke's development in mind, he changes into a more understanding person. He realizes his strong points and weaknesses. He also has a good ear and you can rely on him to listen to you. Despite his age, he respects other people's faults and he won't look down on them for it. If something about you bothers him, he'll say it straight to your face. He doesn't want other people to go through what he faced with Saki. On his journey, he gains a sense of maturity. Yosuke realizes that he's not the only one going through hard times.
