Second Charm [Action]

[City!Dead might not have made much sense in Lily's mind but being a ghost does entirely. She's been turned into a Hogwarts style ghost and she's running about haunting people all over the City. Her primary focus is the library, where she's liable to be helpful or down right bossy ( Read more... )

[While this is going on, George is having a relaxing hot shower in the Cabin, oblivious to the motherly shenanigans going on around him...]

[George has been in the shower entirely too long. She worries about his skin pruning and his body temperature rising too high and so it's entirely for his own good when she slips into the bathroom--not skeeving and looking through the shower curtain thank you very much--and flushes the toilet.

It has nothing to do with pranks or being mischievous. Not at all!

That ought to get him out of there fairly quickly. He might hear a laugh as she disappears from the bathroom again.]

[I hope you're happy, Lily Potter. A few seconds later and a string of highly colourful swear words emanate from he loo. George comes barreling out wrapped in a towel and takes off down the corridor towards his and Fred's room.]

Fred! That was not funny, or clever! You've sunk to a new low this time, mate!

[He peers into their room, and notices no one is there. Fred usually like to be nearby after pranking someone, to get the appropriate amount of gloating in.]

Fred?

[If you're quick and you look up, George, you might see a ghostly Lily dying laughing. There's very little sound because she can't catch her breath in order to make sound she's laughing so hard.]

[Snape happens to be trying to ignore this profoundly tiresome day. The best he's done so far is make use of the time to collect potions ingredients. Some of these creatures have them in abundant supply.

So he's now grabbing a book in the library and is on his way out with it (yes, he checked it out). He has to head back to his house now, after all.]

[Oh Lily sees Severus in the library. In fact, she might even be pretending creeper as he checks out his book and heads toward his house. About half way there she feels a bit guilty and fades into sight.]

You ought to stop and get something to eat. If I know you, Severus, you've been working non stop. Tea does not count as dinner.

[Of course he suspects that he's being followed so he's not surprised to find Lily suddenly there. What he is surprised by is that she's a ghost. He pauses to look at her before frowning a bit. Damn City.]

I've just been busy.

Of course you have but that's no excuse. You can stop by and pick up something at one of the shops.

[Lily hasn't had much regard for creeping on people today. She's gone back and forth as it entertained her. She's a bit more careful with Harry though. There's still a desire there to make a good impression on him so she pokes her head through the wall behind him, making certain he's not doing anything embarrassing. When it's obvious the coast is clear, she settles through the wall and just watches him a moment before floating up beside him.]

I'm guessing you were quite a force to be reckoned with during the war.

[Instinctively she adopts a bit of a surrender position. She notices the knuckles whitening. It hadn't occurred to her he'd react this way but then she doesn't know about the night in the graveyard or the morning in the forest though.]

It's all right, Harry. Just me.

[She smiles a bit at him.]

Curse, I believe. Or so it would seem anyway.

[Ginny's at the Blue Light early, well before her shift begins, but it's the moments before opening that she likes the best. She can straighten out the seats, wipe down the tables, linger at the trumpet mounted in honour of the jazz club's original owner. Perhaps this might be the time for a bit of girl talk, if Lily so inclines, because the other redheaded witch is just hanging around and comfortably doing nothing.]

[Lily's already terrorized George, peeked in on Harry and made Snape eat. Her next stop, naturally, is to check in on Ginny. She pops into the bar, a bit surprised at where she's at. She's never been to the Blue Light before.]

Well this is lovely. I haven't had a chance to visit yet.

[She looks around, a little startled out of her thoughts and I'm sorry, we're not yet open halfway to her lips when she pauses and looks around. That was Lily, she's sure of it, but where-? And then she notices something that reminds her of Nearly-Headless Nick, pauses, and her eyes narrow.

Wait.]

Lily?

[She waves a bit at Ginny.]

Didn't actually mean to startle you. It seems the City had taken a more familiar take on my death.

[ Usually it's the about-to-die that really draws Donna attention, but she can't help but at least want to give her condolences to such a pretty little ghost. ]

Oh, you poor dear...

[Lily smiles at the banshee in turn and shrugs a bit.]

I could have it worse. I still manage to check up on my friends and family.
