I won't even go so far as to assume the audacity it would take for me to pretend like I knew Brian in such a deep manner. But, from the moment I met him, I knew there was something different about this guy. Every time I saw him, he never ceased to have a smile on his face, or at least a slight grin. That just seemed to be the type of man he was. Passionate, joyful, and compassionate. He was lucky to have a sister like you.
I remember I was so surprised yet excited the one time I saw him in Tallahassee, in the SLB theater. I got his number, and meant to call, but, for one reason or another, the call was never made...
I wish I had known sooner. I wish I could've said goodbye properly. But, the truth is, Brian still lives, in the lives of the people he touched along the way.
I consider myself blessed to have known such a strong, selfless and loving man. My prayers are with you.
