I'm absolutely incapable of posting anything on time. Friday morning (my original post date), I had an attack of self-doubt and took this entire thing apart. I re-wrote it in three days, in the middle of which I babysat for a total of twenty hours and neglected everything else in my life. Good times. I don't recommend trying this at home. But the result is something I like a lot more and can actually live with.
I wrote Relax, it's Just Sex four years ago and hadn't revisited that universe since. When I was thinking about what to write for this year's big bang, all I knew was that I wanted to try to portray the beginnings of d/s relationship between two guys who are falling in love. Jared and Jensen from this universe made the most sense to me, particularly where Jared's the sub.
Thank you to cee_m. Not only for her beautiful artwork but for being nice to me when I freaked out and didn't post on our original date. It was a pleasure working with her and I'm in love with the art she made for this story.
Thank you to the mods of spn_j2_bigbang, especially to wendy who has been a shining star since the very first big bang in 2007. She consistently goes above and beyond to make this one of the best challenges around.
